We respect, value and understand the contribution of the parent to the child’s learning and believe we share with parents a joint interest in, and responsibility for, children’s development and learning. Children feel positive and more confident about themselves and their learning when nursery staff, parents and other carers work together in an atmosphere of mutual respect..
To help build these partnerships we aim to communicate extensively with our parents including children’s learning journeys, parent feedback questionnaires, monthly newsletters, parent’s evenings, educational sessions and family events. In addition there will be ongoing discussions with the nursery management and your child’s Key Worker.
Once a child is registered at the nursery parents will be given a parent handbook filled with useful information about nursery life to help answer some of the queries which we know will arise. These handbooks can also be viewed on our nursery website.
Parent Nursery Association
We aim to have regular Parent Nursery Association which is made up of self elected parent representatives. These meetings provides a forum for sharing ideas and building relationships between nursery staff and families and give parents the opportunity to be involved with the direction and activities of the nursery
